A Tour of This Year’s Gingerbread Displays at the Disney Resorts

If you love holiday decorations, Disney World’s resorts are the perfect place to add some extra magic to your trip. Every year, several resorts create amazing gingerbread displays that smell just as good as they look. This year’s lineup brings some classic favorites, a few surprises, and even one major change.

Below is your guide to each gingerbread display, plus an easy step-by-step route for visiting them all without needing a dining reservation or resort parking.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort – Gingerbread Castle

Disney’s Contemporary Resort

The Contemporary’s gingerbread display is a must-see every year, and this season they created a beautiful gingerbread castle. While you admire the detail, keep an eye out for a fun challenge: hidden Mickeys and even a hidden five-legged goat, a nod to the classic mural inside the resort. Kids and adults love searching for these tiny surprises.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge – Gingerbread Cabin

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Wilderness Lodge keeps things cozy with a small but charming gingerbread cabin in its lobby. The rustic design fits the resort’s warm, woodsy holiday vibe. It’s a quick stop, but a sweet one—perfect for grabbing a photo in front of the stone fireplace nearby.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Gingerbread Animals

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

Animal Kingdom Lodge always goes big with creative displays, and this year they brought the savanna to life with gingerbread animals. The showstopper is a 7-foot gingerbread giraffe, but you’ll also see a zebra, a flamingo, and even a baby river hog. It’s impressive, detailed, and completely unique to this resort.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort – 25 Years of the Gingerbread Carousel

Disney’s Beach Club Resort

The Beach Club is celebrating 25 years of its beloved gingerbread carousel. This year’s theme honors the anniversary, and the carousel includes 25 hidden Mickeys to celebrate. The horses, decorations, and sugary details are stunning every single year—this is a fan favorite for a reason.

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort – Holiday Village

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

While the Yacht Club doesn’t have a gingerbread display this year, they do have a charming miniature holiday village. With tiny buildings, moving pieces, and sparkling lights, it feels like a classic Christmas scene. It’s a quick stop but pairs perfectly with the Beach Club carousel right next door.

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn – Gingerbread BoardWalk Deli

Disney’s Boardwalk Inn

Over on Crescent Lake, the BoardWalk Inn created a delicious version of the BoardWalk Deli—made entirely of gingerbread. The display fits perfectly with the resort’s seaside theme. Make sure to walk around and look closely; the details on this one are incredible.

A Big Change This Year: No Gingerbread House at the Grand Floridian

Normally, the Grand Floridian’s giant gingerbread house is the star of Disney’s holiday resort displays. But this year, it isn’t returning. The lobby recently went through a major renovation, and there wasn’t enough time to build the huge, iconic gingerbread house. While it’s a disappointment for fans, it makes next year’s return even more exciting.

How To Visit All These Gingerbread Displays Without a Resort Reservation

You can’t park at a Disney resort unless you’re staying there or have a dining reservation. But don’t worry—there’s still an easy way to enjoy all the displays! Here’s the simplest route using Disney transportation:

Start at Disney Springs

Park for free at Disney Springs.

1. Disney Springs → Bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge

Start your tour with the gingerbread animals.

2. Animal Kingdom Lodge → Bus to Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios is your transfer point to reach the BoardWalk area.

3. Hollywood Studios → Boat to BoardWalk Inn

Hop off and see the gingerbread BoardWalk Deli.

4. BoardWalk Inn → Boat to Yacht Club

Stop to explore their holiday village.

5. Yacht Club → Walk to Beach Club

Just a few minutes on foot to see the 25th-anniversary gingerbread carousel.

6. Beach Club → Bus to Magic Kingdom

From here, head to the monorail loop.

7. Magic Kingdom → Monorail to Contemporary

Check out the gingerbread castle and hunt for the hidden Mickeys and five-legged goat.

8. To Wilderness Lodge (two options):

  • If it’s after 3:00 PM: Take the boat from the Contemporary straight to Wilderness Lodge.

  • If it’s before 3:00 PM: Monorail or walk back to Magic Kingdom, then take the boat to Wilderness Lodge.

This route flows smoothly, avoids long waits, and allows you to see every gingerbread display in one festive loop.
